What does God say about men and women and sex?
A. Jesus quoted Genesis, chapter 2, when he was asked about relationships between men and women.
“‘Haven’t you read,’ he [Jesus] replied, ‘that at the beginning the Creator “made them male and female,” and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?” (Matthew 19:4-5)

“Extravagant Worship”

1. Introduction- Jesus knows He is in His last week before he faces death on the cross. If you knew you only had a week left of this life, where would you go? Jesus decides to spend time with his friends. Jesus is at a feast, a party, and Lazarus, Martha and Mary are there. You will always find the presences of Jesus where He is made welcome. And at this party, Mary takes this special container of perfume (worth about $25,000)and breaks open the ”box,” and pours it all out on Jesus.

“Good Deeds”

Hebrews13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
1. A Word.
a. The writer gives the church a word: “Let brotherly love continue.”
b. Jesus gave three “great Commands” in the Bible.
i. Love God (Mat. 22:37)

“Count It All Joy”

James 1v.1-12
How do I get through my trial?
1. Introduction: How do I get through my trial? I have to learn to count. I have to have faith to “count it ALL joy.” I have to have faith to see, to believe, to understand, to be able to stand firm, and to see my reward ahead.
2. Faith In God’s Person. (v. 2)
a. The only way I can “count it all joy,” is to believe that God is in control and that He is a good God who is working everything out for me. (Romans 8:28).

“This Thing”

1. The Problem.
a. Paul calls it “a thorn in the flesh.” (v.7)
b. It is buffeting him. The word means, “to strike with clenched hands, to buffet with the fist.”
c. Paul knows it is from the devil (v. 7)
d. Paul calls it “this thing,” (v. 8)

“The Path to Peace”

Isaiah 2v1-5.
The Path to Peace
1. Introduction: There is a way to end the violence and to bring peace and prosperity to this world. While many commentators read this verse and say it refers to the time when Christ returns and sets up His millennial reign, the text says, “it shall come to pass in the last days,” and we are now in the last days. (Acts 2:15-17). The kingdom of God is now. The Spirit is here now. His word is true now. Jesus is Lord now. We do not have to wait for time, we have to look to God and discover what he has already given and already done for us.

“The Art Of Negotiation”

Daniel 1-exiled.
Title: The Art Of Negotiation
1. Introduction: Daniel and his three friends were taken away from their home, their culture, and their religious center (the temple) and taken to Babylon to serve the king. They were stripped away from their life, and their life was stripped away from them. They were to be assimilated into the world, but instead, they took captivity captive and though they were exiled from home, they were not exiled from God.
